REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
.
2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX
4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE DECK BOARD REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE DECK BOARD BRACKET
8. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
(a) for Manual seat:
Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH
(b) for Power Seat:
Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH
9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) for Manual seat:
Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH
(b) for Power Seat:
Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE LOWER COVER RH

20. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Standard)
21. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard)
22. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
23. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)
24. REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 3 AIR DUCT
25. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR RH

(a) Disconnect the connector from the rear airbag sensor. NOTICE:
Disconnect the connector with the rear airbag sensor installed. |
(b) Remove the bolt.
(c) Disengage the guide and remove the rear airbag sensor.
26. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.
